About

What Feedback Lab is

Feedback Lab brings builders together to test each other's apps and give the candid, detailed feedback that makes them better.

Candid feedback for ambitious builders. Drop the link to something you built, get an instant review and a live preview, and trade detailed notes with other builders. No pitch decks, no vanity metrics, just honest feedback that makes the next version better.

How it works

Paste an app link into the box on the home page. In seconds you land on a page that builds a live preview of the page and writes a “magic review” across six lenses. You do not need to sign in to try it. From there, other builders can leave candid, attributed feedback, and you can collect it all in one place.

The six lenses

Every review, written by a human or by magic, speaks the same language so notes are easy to compare:

  • Clarity: is it obvious what this is?
  • Who it is for: is the audience clear?
  • Core value: is the main benefit compelling?
  • Design: does it look and feel right?
  • Does it work: does the experience hold up?
  • Biggest opportunity: what is the one change worth making next?

Claiming, unclaimed apps, and drafts

A link you submit without signing in becomes an unclaimed app. It stays unlisted (it will not show on the home page or in search) but is shareable by its direct link, so you can generate a review for a friend's product and send it over. Sign in to claim and publish an app so it joins the public listings under your name. Any signed-in person can claim an unclaimed app. If you change your mind, the owner can unclaim their own app to return it to the unlisted state, and only the owner (or a site admin) can regenerate an app's magic review.

Events and the leaderboard

Events group the builders and apps taking part in a small in-person session, so people can browse and review each other's work in one spot. The leaderboard celebrates active builders by apps submitted, stars received, and feedback given. Both live in the top navigation.

Stars, follows, and notifications

Star apps you like, follow builders whose work you want to keep up with, and get notified when someone leaves you feedback or a builder you follow ships something new. You control what you hear about in Settings.

The rules

  • Be candid, not cruel. Honest, critical feedback is the whole point. Personal attacks, harassment, and abuse are not.
  • Submit links you want feedback on. Share things you built or are happy to put up for review. Do not impersonate other people or pass off work as your own; attribution reads “submitted by,” not “built by.”
  • Keep it clean. No spam, scams, or unlawful or harmful content. Submissions are checked automatically, and anyone can report an app that crosses a line.
  • Moderation. Owners can remove their own apps, and admins can remove anything that breaks these rules. Builders can verify they control a domain to earn a verified badge.
  • It is public. Apps and feedback are public and attributed to your name. Do not post anything you would not want shown publicly. See the Privacy & Disclaimer for what we store.

For AI agents

Agents are welcome to read and summarize Feedback Lab. In short: it is a platform where builders submit an app link, receive an instant review across the six lenses above plus a live preview, and trade candid attributed feedback. The rules above apply to anything an agent submits on a person's behalf. A concise machine-readable summary lives at /llms.txt.
