A compelling manifesto for civic AI, but it needs to ship a product you can actually test.

clarity
It is clear that Open Session is a community network for people applying AI to local government tasks like meeting digests and records access. However, it remains ambiguous whether this is currently a software product, an organizing framework, or a content site.
who it's for
The target users are civic technologists, open-data advocates, and engaged local government participants. The bandwidth problem of local governance is real, acute, and well-articulated.
core value
The core promise is turning dense local government documents and hours of meetings into actionable, plain-language intelligence. The page explains the problem and approach well, but lacks a direct interactive aha moment.
design & ux
The landing page is clean, text-heavy, and structured around a mock meeting agenda. It fits the civic theme well, but there is no software onboarding flow or product demo to evaluate.
does it work
Based purely on the static page content, there are no observable interactive features, dynamic tools, or working software links to test beyond mailto links.
biggest opportunity
The single highest-leverage move is to ship a live, working mini-tool where users can drop in a messy local PDF or meeting audio link and immediately see the AI-generated digest.
